Ich würde mich nach wie vor über Anregungen freuen, die uns bei unserem Sample-Projekt helfen, ein für Musiker ordentliches Instrument zu bauen. Dazu zählen Wünsche oder Verbesserungsvorschläge von evtl. schon vorhandenen Instrumenten.

sound-requests
hey,
i would like collect some thoughts about the flaws of existing electronic accordions. if you want to make an request, do it here.
more interesting for me are issues regarding sound and playability.
i would like start with:
the keyswitch between slow and fast samples could be more "flowing". with every sound you have an special speed of attack. some sounds so are more fast to play others less. if you increase the speed of notes gradually you get on roland at least a second sample that is faster playable. but there is a hard step. the same is valid for the keyranges up and down.
i have maybe 20 requests or more. but i would like know, if i am the only. and maybe there are another thoughts.
the backdrop is to build an own instrument for computersampler.

recording with roland fr
Did you also record from the phones output?
1. yes - with a y-wire on phones jack. there is a higher output. but take care, it could be to much!
If not then either your accordion has much stronger output or I am doing something wrong.
2. i was hearing on weekend in hamburg at the national roland festival about a smaller volume on model fr3, fr2 and fr1 in comparison with fr7 or fr5.
3. you can use in your recording software the “normalize” function. that means a highest possible maximize without clipping. (the maximal peak is 0 db)
4. an additional step is to compress the signal, but that kills also dynamic and is a cosmetic step.
